Transistion

Transitions/changes in social, financial, legal, academic, or occupational status can be difficult. Sometimes individuals can have difficulty emotionally adjusting to these changes. Difficulties adjusting to transitions may present as anxiety, depression, or sleep problems. Within three months most adjustment/transition difficulties resolve; however, if they do not therapy can be beneficial to explore the continued struggles. Cognitive behavior, interpersonal, relaxation, or supportive treatments may help. Medication is rarely needed for transition/ adjustment difficulties.
